Our Rug Cleaning Methods:
Our rug cleaning method has withstood the test of time. It's the same process used ages ago on natural fiber wool rugs, but with a few minor alterations to adapt the method to modern times.
In older times, rug cleaning often began with beating the rug with a rug beater. However, that technique causes fiber wear and tear and can be especially harmful to delicate rugs. Rug dusting, as the technique is now called, is now done using gentle compressed air and modern tools to gently lift the dirt out of the rug. Our technicians thoroughly remove dirt from both sides of the rug, ensuring that all dry particles are removed.
After removing all the dust, the technicians are careful to determine whether the rug can bleed. They will apply a color blocker if this is the case.
The rug is now ready for the fresh water pool. Our technicians hand wash the rug with only natural cleaners while fresh water flows through the rug.
If fresh water alone is not enough to remove obstinate odors, then we can place the rug in our decontamination bath. Large rollers press the fibers down and force the odors out from deep within the carpet. As the fibers are released, fresh water flows through and blocks the odors from reentering.
Our technicians then do a thorough job in rinsing out any remaining residue and verifying that only fresh water is lingering in your rug.
Once any contaminates are gone, the rug is hung to air dry. To ensure that your rug is dried thoroughly and quickly, we have climate controlled rooms and triple level fans to control this process. It is also during this process that we clean the fringe of your rug and ensure that its natural color and luster come out.
The final step of this process involves the careful inspection of the rug as the technicians groom the rug pile and fringe. Once satisfied, the rug is individually wrapped and ready to be delivered. If you'd like, we'll even place the rug on the floor for you!
